- The Tank Lab presented their work at the Notre Dame College of Science and Engineering Joint Annual Meeting, and again at the Fall 2022 American Geophysical Union Meeting in Chicago, IL.
- New PhD student, Mitch Liddick, joined the Tank Lab.
- The Tank Lab presented their work at the Annual Society for Freshwater Sciences Meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

- New PhD student, Emma Thrift, joined the Tank Lab.
- The Tank Lab presented their work at the virtual 4th International Workshop on High Temporal Resolution Water Quality Monitoring and Analysis.
- Graduate students Anna Vincent and Abagael Pruitt attended the PhD course on high frequency sensors offered as part of the workshop.
- The Tank Lab presented their work at the Society for Freshwater Science Annual Meeting. The meeting was held virtually.
- Tank Lab PhD student, Shannon Speir, defended her dissertation on nitrogen and phosphorus cycling in agricultural watersheds. She will begin a postdoctoral position at the University of Alabama, working with Dr. Carla Atkinson, in June 2021.
- Dr. Jennifer Tank was interviewed by Notre Dame's The Observer for an article highlighting stories of success.
- New PhD student, Abagael Pruitt, joined the Tank Lab.
- Tank Lab PhD student, Shannon Speir, serves as the Society for Freshwater Science Student Resources Committee Chair
for 2019-2020 and published a paper on two-stage denitrification in Ecological Engineering.
- Tank Lab undergraduate, Amelia Grose, completed her honors thesis on how of groundwater contributions to streamflow
impact the detection of conservation impacts. Grose was also the 2020 Environmental Science valedictorian. - Tank Lab undergraduate, Ally Marrs, completed her sustainability capstone project on using a novel yeast assay to measure phosphorus concentrations in water samples.
- Tank Lab PhD graduate, Matt Trentman, began his postdoctoral position at Flathead Lake Biological Station in Montana, working
with Dr. Bob Hall.
- Tank Lab PhD student, Matt Trentman, defended his dissertation on phosphorus cycling in agricultural
streams and published a paper on floodplain P cycling in Science of the Total Environment.
- Two new PhD students, Anna Vincent and Ellie Snyder, joined the Tank Lab for the Fall 2019 semester.
- PhD student, Matt Trentman, visited Vermont to give a talk on the two-stage ditch to farmers, the LT Governor, as well as other representatives of political campaigns.
- PhD student, Shannon Speir, successfully passed her oral exams for candidacy.
- Tank Lab PhD student, Shannon Speir, presented a plenary talk on cover crops and the two-stage ditch at the Northwest Indiana Conservation Happenings Meeting in South Bend, IN
- Tank Lab PhD student, Matt Trentman, traveled to University of Florida to visit Dr. Matt Cohen's lab and learn about the Cycle-P
phosphorus sensor. - The Tank Lab presented at the IAGLR meeting in Brockport, NY. Dr. Tank was an invited plenary speaker at the conference.
- Dr. Martha Dee graduates from the Tank Lab with her PhD. She studied the effect of land use and land cover change on nitrogen cycling, with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions.
- Dr. Jennifer Tank and graduate student, Shannon Speir, attend the Society for Freshwater Science annual meeting in Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Tank served as the 2018-2019 president for the society.
- Dr. Jennifer Tank wins the ASLO 2019 Ruth Patrick Award for her significant contributions to aquatic biogeochemistry, applying those fundamental concepts to human-impacted agricultural landscapes, and informing how conservation practices influence stream management through community engagement.
- Tank Lab graduate students, Shannon Speir, Matt Trentman, & Ceara Talbot, present their research at the Notre Dame College of Science Joint Annual Meeting.

- The Tank Lab women participated in Girls Ambitious about Learning Sciences (GALS) event for 5th-8th grade girls at St. Pat's Park on April 21, teaching them how to measure stream discharge.
